Restart Energy has officially registered its UK subsidiary under the name ‘Restart Energy One UK’. The company identification number has already been attained (11224104); the next step is to obtain an energy supply license. RED is working closely with the most experienced utility consultancy company in the United Kingdom in order to make this happen. Once completed, we can start supplying energy to customers across the UK.
Recent energy data shows that more and more people are switching to independent energy suppliers — last year the number of people who switched rose by 15%. Overall, independent energy suppliers have gained over 1 million customers in the last year alone. This indicates that Restart Energy UK will do well on the market once the energy supply license has been acquired.
Even though the UK is moving away from the EU, they have retained their pledge to complete phase out coal power plants by 2025. As it stands, the UK has reached a renewable energy production percentage of 30% and aims to increase this drastically within the next years.
