RED’s First International Customer Heralds a Bright Future
This summer has opened a new chapter in Restart Energy’s history; one achieved through the work of dozens of individuals, coalescing into one moment that illustrates our company’s drive and heralds our global expansion: in 2018, we have achieved our very first international customer — the first of thousands to come!
Our fully operational Serbian branch, specifically ‘Restart Energy DOO Beograd’, has recently supplied our very first international customer with electricity for his business. We are proud to provide energy services not just for our first international customer, one of Belgrade’s largest auto service companies, but also for several others that have already chosen our award-winning services.
To give our readers added context, we would like to mention that lately, our expansion rate has accelerated, even by the exigent standards we've established — we've registered branches in 6 different countries since the start of 2018 and this is only the beginning. Europe, Asia, the US — all are targets for future expansion and we have prepared the way for entry into many new markets already. Singapore represents the hub for expansion into the Asian energy market, aiding us in our mission to commence multinational distribution of renewable energy to the continent of contrast. From this starting location, we wish to establish a strong foothold within the Chinese market, with the help of our Swiss partners, First Biogas International. China’s energy market represents 25% of the world’s energy demand, and as such, it is one of our prominent long-term targets in the years to come.
Across the Atlantic, we’ve already established RED’s first US franchise, located in the north-westernmost state of Washington, unveiling the latest addition to the RED franchise model, namely our Type C franchise for the development of renewable energy solutions. We consider this a starting point for future expansions and are looking forward to tapping into the vast potential of Washington state’s energy market; considering they hold one of the lead position in renewable energy initiatives across the US.
Other future expansions are in developing stage for now, however, it should be said that we are also currently working on gaining access to the Australian energy market since we've already identified a potential business partner suitable for a Type A Franchise. More updates on this topic will be announced as further developments unfold.
As a final note, as revealed in our third Q&A, starting this October, all Restart Energy users will be able to pay their energy invoices with MWAT tokens! Producers send out monthly loyalty bonuses through the RED Loyalty System, totaling 1–5% of traded on-grid energy in exchange for access to the RED Platform.
