If you haven’t heard about Restart Energy and the MWAT token until now, your mind is about to be blown away.

RED is a pretty new project (completed the public sale at the end of January), but has been doing a lot of development and is, without a doubt, one of the most ambitious projects in the blockchain space.

As a matter of fact, the public sale concluded almost two months before the scheduled date and it sold out in less than two minutes (it actually sold out in 10 seconds — the rest was due to the server being overwhelmed).

Are you intrigued yet? Let’s look at more facts about Restart Energy and its ambitious project of completely changing how we consume energy worldwide.

#1. $20 MM Revenues in 2017

Yes, you read that right — Restart Energy is an existing company (since 2015) which made over 20 million USD in revenues, in 2017.

#2. Over 37,000 Customers

Restart Energy has over 37,000 customers in Romania, growing at a rate of 2,500/month in the first quarter of 2018. The company is expanding in a ton of other countries (see below), which means that these numbers will grow at a more “explosive” rate in the coming months and years.

I hope you know that these pictures were made to be shared, so go nuts!

#3. Employs 80+ People

Restart Energy employs over 80 people who work at the headquarters in Romania, as well as in other countries that the company has already entered. Which countries? Continue reading to find out!

#4. Officially Registered in Singapore

There’s no typo, RED is officially registered as a company in Singapore, which is the hub for our Asian expansion into countries like China, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam or Thailand.

You can read more about this here.

#5. Officially Registered in The United Kingdom

The registration in the United Kingdom is another huge step for RED’s expansion around Europe. The company has already started the process of obtaining a dual fuel (electricity and gas) supply license, which usually lasts about 8 to 12 months.

You can read more about this here.

#6. RED Has a Fully-Operational Branch in Serbia

This news is especially important as this is the first, fully operational Restart Energy branch outside of our headquarters in Romania.

You can read more about this here.

#7. Restart Energy Will be Present in 40+ Countries by 2023

Here, we go by the saying “dream big or go home” — that’s why our goal is to expand to over 40 countries by the year 2023, including the United States, Canada, China and Australia. It won’t be easy, but it’s definitely not impossible.

#8. Austria, Hungary, Slovenia, Croatia…

Restart Energy has started the process of acquiring energy supply companies in Slovenia, Croatia, Hungary and Austria. We hate to play small and regarding our global expansion, we’re way ahead of schedule.

These pictures were made to be shared. Don’t be ashamed to spread the word.

#9. Restart Energy Enters Chinese Energy Market

…through our partnership with Swiss-based company First Biogas International AG. This news is as huge as it sounds.

You can read more about the state of the market deregulation in China, here, as well as our Sino-Swiss partnership here.

#10. 300+ Functional Franchises in Romania

Restart Energy already has 300+ functional franchises in Romania, which are the catalyst for its huge growth since 2015, making it the fastest-growing energy supply company in the European Union.

#11. 200+ Franchise Applications in Less Than 60 Days

Right after the huge TGE (Token Generation Event) success (read here), Restart Energy opened applications for franchises and had over 200 applications from all over the world within 60 days. The United Kingdom, the United States, and Australia were the first three countries that submitted the lion’s share of franchise requests.

You can read more about this in our first update.

#12. 1,700% Growth Since 2015

Restart Energy grew by 400% in its first year, and subsequently by 425% the following year, giving a cumulative growth of 1,700%, spanning 2015–2017. What’s even more impressive, is that we have projected revenues of 100 million USD for 2018 — in other words, 500% growth — a steady yet pronounced rise in revenues that speaks well for the financial stability of the company.

#13. 200+ Commercial Locations in Romania

Restart Energy has over 200 commercial locations in Romania and is growing fast. Soon, we’ll be able to say that we have similar locations in more countries around the world.

These pictures were made to be shared with friends. We appreciate each and every share!

#14. Main TGE Event Sold Out in TWO Minutes

First of all, we had to end the pre-sale way ahead of time so that we had enough tokens left for the public sale. We sold the remaining tokens in about two minutes — the sale itself lasted ~10 seconds, with the rest being due to the site’s servers crashing under the load.

Secondly, the TGE concluded on January 23rd, while being scheduled to end on March 15th.

#15. RED Helps You Save ~30% on Your Electricity Bill

Through our decentralized platform, the average consumer can save approximately 30% on their electricity bill every month. Thanks to the peer-to-peer structure of the RED platform, we are able to eliminate the middleman and cut bureaucratic costs — a direct and more efficient trading system in every way.

To put things in perspective, the average American spends about 2,000 USD per year on electricity. By using the RED platform, you could save ~600 USD per year.

#16. Producers Can Earn ~30% More by Using the RED Platform

Not only consumers will benefit from the RED ecosystem, but also producers and prosumers, because they’ll both be able to sell energy directly to customers (peer-to-peer) — hence cutting a lot of costs and increasing profitability. We like win-win situations.

#17. The RED Platform Will be Ready by the End of 2018

What makes Restart Energy such a solid project is the fact that it’s not based purely on an idea — we’re an existing company with verifiable revenue. Besides that, the RED platform, which is probably the most important pillar in the RED ecosystem will be ready by the end of 2018.

#18. Through the RED Platform You Can Send & Receive Energy Worldwide

The RED platform is designed to allow producers to send and consumers to receive energy, anywhere in the world. This is all made possible through the process of energy tokenization.

You’ll be able to live in Japan and purchase 100% clean energy from Germany.

#19. You Can Purchase 100% Clean Energy on the RED Platform

Say you’re passionate about the #ClimateChange phenomena and want to do your part by making sure you’re consuming only clean, renewable energy. It’s all possible with the launch of the RED platform, which will allow you to consume 100% green energy every month — given that there’s enough in the system.

Long term, this feature has the potential of completely changing the world and, why not, even saving it.

#20. Consumers Receive Green Certificates for Every 1 MWh of Green Energy Consumed

We like to do things differently, so instead of giving Green Certificates (GC) to producers, we’re giving them to consumers. For each 1 MWh of green energy consumed, you will receive one GC.

You can read more about this feature here.

“Green Certificates are a tradable commodity proving that certain electricity is generated using renewable energy sources. Typically one certificate represents the generation of one Megawatthour (MWh) of electricity.” — Wikipedia

#21. RED’s CEO Has 10+ Years Experience in the Energy Sector

Restart Energy’s CEO, Armand Doru Domuța, has over 10 years experience in the energy industry and is regarded by some members of our community as the Steve Jobs or Elon Musk of the energy market.

#22. RED Acquired Two Hydropower Plants in 2018

Restart Energy acquired two hydropower plants in Romania with a total combined energy production capacity of approximately 22,440,960 kWh per year.

You can read more about this acquisition here.

#23. RED Acquired Six Solar Parks in 2018

Restart Energy acquired six solar parks, also in Romania, that have a combined production capacity of 47,327,634 kWh per year— all of which is renewable energy.

You can read more about this acquisition here.

#24. You Can Start Your Own Business Through a RED Franchise

This is the opportunity of a lifetime.

As mentioned above, Restart Energy is planning on entering over 40 countries in the next five years through this business model. It is also the reason why we became the fastest growing energy supply company in the European Union.

Now it’s possible to start your own energy supply franchise, the only requirements are to have a certain amount of MWAT tokens and to live in a country with a deregulated energy market.

There are two types of franchises that you could start, type A and type B. Restart Energy offers training for each option.

You can read more about the franchise model, which type is best for you and how many tokens do you need here.

Apply for a RED franchise here.

#25. RED Signs Energy Acquisition Contract With Romania’s Biggest Energy Producer — Hidroelectrica

Hidroelectrica has 210 power plants and pumping stations with an installed capacity of 6,382 MW and in an average hydrological year, can produce over 17 TWh of electricity. In order to provide a broader view, this is the equivalent of approximately 30% of Romania’s energy production output.

They have also achieved 1st place in the top 100 most valuable Romanian companies, 2 years in a row.

You can read more about this partnership here.
